Neck and Back
Rehabilitation
GENUINE CARE, FOR LOCALS LIKE YOU
Neck and back injuries are a leading cause of persistent pain, disability, and time away from work.
Neck and back pain often persist due to a combination of mechanical stress, movement habits, and cumulative load from work, training, and daily life. At Redfern Physiotherapy, management is guided by accurate assessment and evidence-based care rather than short-term symptom relief alone.
Our experienced physiotherapists provide targeted treatment informed by thorough clinical assessment and clear clinical reasoning. This is supported by practical education around posture, movement, and load management to reduce the risk of ongoing or recurrent symptoms.
Rehabilitation incorporates tailored strength and core stability programs designed to improve spinal support, movement control, and resilience, supporting a confident return to work, training, and everyday activities
Do you accept private health insurance, Medicare or third party claims?
Yes - we accept private health insurance and third-party claims such as WorkCover and CTP.
Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients with a GP Chronic Care Management Plan (GPCCMP), which provides access to up to five allied health sessions per calendar year.
Can physiotherapy help long-standing (chronic) or recurrent neck and back pain?
Yes - physiotherapy is highly effective for persistent or recurrent neck and back pain when treatment focuses on movement quality, strength, and load management.
Rather than relying on short-term symptom relief alone, our approach aims to address contributing factors and build long-term resilience.
Do you offer dry needling or other adjunct treatments as part of physiotherapy?
Yes - treatments such as dry needling may be used where clinically appropriate.
These are always integrated into a broader, evidence-based rehabilitation plan rather than used as standalone treatment.
