About us

Redfern Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine

Redfern Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine is a leading multidisciplinary health and injury management clinic, proudly located in the heart of Redfern, Sydney.

Our mission is to improve the health, performance and well-being of our community by providing evidence-based, elite level care that’s accessible to everyone, from professional athletes to active locals, weekend warriors and families alike.

Established by experienced physiotherapists Steve Velovski and Eddie Farah, Redfern Physiotherapy brings over 20 years of elite sports medicine experience into the community setting. Both Steve and Eddie have led the Physiotherapy team at the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL club for more than two decades, playing a pivotal role in building the high-performance systems that contributed to the Rabbitohs’ 2014 NRL Premiership win.

Their work in professional sport has shaped the clinic’s approach, integrating the latest in injury rehabilitation, movement science and long-term health planning with personalised, down-to-earth care.

We offer a wide range of allied health services including physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, exercise prescription, dietitian support, massage therapy, strength and conditioning, and injury prevention programs. Our purpose-built facility features a fully equipped rehab gym with a Pilates reformer, allowing us to deliver targeted and progressive exercise programs tailored to everyone’s goals and stage of recovery.

Our team treats more than just injuries. We’re committed to helping people understand their bodies, take control of their rehabilitation, and prevent future issues through education, consistent care and a sustainable approach to health. Whether you're returning to sport, recovering post-surgery or managing a long-term condition, we’re with you every step of the way.

At the core of our clinic is a strong, supportive workplace culture. We believe that great care starts with a great team, which is why we invest heavily in the ongoing development of every staff member. Our team benefits from weekly in-house clinical education seminars, one-on-one mentoring with co-founder Eddie Farah, and a shared commitment to best practice. This ensures every clinician at Redfern Physiotherapy provides consistent, elite level service, grounded in the latest research and clinical expertise.

We value collaboration, curiosity and continual learning, qualities that not only enhance our team culture, but also drive the quality of care we provide our patients every day.

What sets Redfern Physiotherapy apart is our genuine connection to the people we treat. We build long-term relationships with our patients and support them on their rehabilitation journey, whether that means running laps at Redfern Oval, lifting pain-free at the gym, playing with their kids or simply feeling more confident in daily life.

Redfern Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine, combining high-performance expertise with a genuine commitment to the people we serve.
