Stephen Velovski

Stephen Velovski is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Redfern Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine, which he co-founded alongside Eddie Farah in 2016. For over a decade, Steve was an integral part of the South Sydney Rabbitohs medical team, contributing to their sustained success including the landmark 2014 NRL Grand Final victory.


Early in his career, Steve developed his expertise working as a physiotherapist for elite NSW Premier League soccer teams, including St George and Sydney Olympic, providing high-level care within one of Australia’s most competitive football environments.


Steve holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and completed his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2007. He has pursued advanced training in pelvic and thoracic rehabilitation with internationally renowned expert LJ Lee, earned his Level 2 Sports Physiotherapy certification, and completed extensive dry needling qualifications. With a special clinical focus on shoulder, hip, and groin pain, Steve excels in comprehensive screening and return to sport programs. He is dedicated to delivering the same elite standard of care professional athletes receive to all patients, regardless of their age or level of activity.


A highly experienced athlete himself, Steve was a competitive soccer player for more than 20 years and now channels his passion into cycling, often training throughout Sydney’s inner city and Eastern Suburbs. His firsthand understanding of sport performance and injury recovery enhances his tailored and results-driven approach to physiotherapy.
