Massage Therapy
TAILORED CARE, FOR LOCALS LIKE YOU
Massage therapy can play an important role in managing pain, supporting recovery, and improving overall movement quality.
Whether you are training regularly, managing pregnancy-related discomfort, recovering from injury, or simply feeling the effects of daily load and stress, treatment should be purposeful and aligned with your goals.
We offer three primary streams of massage therapy - Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, and Remedial Massage, each tailored to different stages of activity, recovery, and life demands. Depending on your presentation, sessions may incorporate techniques such as deep tissue massage, connective tissue therapy, myofascial release, cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques (including massage blade therapy), and dry needling where clinically appropriate. Treatment is always individualised, combining hands-on therapy with practical advice to help you move, recover, and perform with greater ease and confidence.
Which type of massage is right for me?
The most appropriate type of massage depends on your goals, symptoms, and stage of life. Sports massage is typically suited to those training regularly or preparing for competition. Pregnancy massage is specifically adapted for each trimester to support comfort and circulation. Remedial massage is assessment-driven and focused on addressing specific pain, injury, or movement restrictions.
If you’re unsure, our therapists will assess you at your first appointment and recommend the most appropriate approach.
Do you offer techniques like dry needling or cupping?
Yes. Where clinically appropriate, sessions may include dry needling, cupping, deep tissue techniques, connective tissue therapy, or instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques such as massage blade therapy.
These techniques are selected based on your presentation and goals, and are always integrated into a broader treatment plan rather than used in isolation.
Can I claim massage therapy through private health insurance?
Massage Therapy (all types) is generally claimable through private health insurance, depending on your level of extras cover. Rebates vary between health funds.
We offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming for eligible services. If you’re unsure about your cover, we recommend checking directly with your insurer prior to your appointment.
