Ellie Thompson
Ellie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who takes a compassionate, evidence-based and client-centred approach to nutrition care. With a deep understanding of the science behind food and health, Ellie works collaboratively with clients to develop sustainable strategies that promote long-term wellbeing. Her coaching style empowers individuals to take control of their nutrition in a way that is realistic, personalised and meaningful to their goals.
Ellie has a strong clinical interest in gut health, including food intolerances, allergies and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), informed by both professional training and personal experience. She also works extensively in weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular health (including high blood pressure and high cholesterol), and overall lifestyle nutrition. Her focus is not only on symptom management, but also on helping clients improve quality of life and build a positive relationship with food.
With a lifelong passion for both science and the joy of food, Ellie understands the important role nutrition plays, both functionally and socially. She believes that eating well should never feel restrictive and enjoys helping people adapt their dietary habits to support energy, performance and long-term health.
Outside the clinic, Ellie can usually be found in the kitchen developing creative, practical recipes tailored to a range of dietary needs. Appointments are available in-person at our clinic in Redfern and also via telehealth, making her services accessible to clients Australia-wide.
